FAQ's

Should I brush my teeth before or after using the teeth whitening  strips?

You can brush your teeth gently immediately after using the whitening strips, but we do not recommend brushing your teeth immediately before application, because this may irritate your gums. Make sure to allow enough time to pass if brushing your teeth prior to application to help avoid gum irritation.

The strips are designed to work without rinsing or brushing off product after application.

Can I use teeth whitening strips If I am pregnant or nursing?

There is no evidence that the strips are harmful to use when pregnant or nursing. However, we recommend avoiding using the Strips or consulting with your doctor before use.

Can I use teeth whitening strips if I have dental work?

Smile Science Harley Street teeth whitening strips will not harm dental work including veneers, caps, fillings, partials, gold, composite bonding, laminates or any other restorations. However, they will also not whiten these types of dental work. The strips only work to whiten natural teeth.

Do not use if you have dental braces, and we recommend speaking to your dentist before using the strips if you wear a retainer or have had a root canal. If you need any dental work, have dental work or are experiencing any staining from medication, we advise consulting your dentist to determine if using the strips is appropriate.

Instructions

1. Remove whitening strip from pouch. Pull away the soft strip from plastic film.
2. With the help of a mirror, align straight edge of strip to gum line. Gently exert pressure and adjust strip with finger to enable better adherence to tooth surface. Repeat using second strip.
3. After 30 minutes of application remove strips and dispense. Wipe away any gel residue using a toothbrush and water.

• Avoid application of strips after brushing your teeth.
• Use before going to bed and refrain from eating.
• Use both strips provided in the pouch, one for the upper arch and one for the lower arch of the teeth.
• Once a pouch is opened it is best to use the strips within 2 hours.

• We recommend whitening strips to be applied regularly every three months for an effective aftercare solution, however you do not need to follow a full week regime as you had initially.
• Avoid or limit consumption of tobacco, coffee, tea, cola and red wine. Additionally use a whitening toothpaste which will help guard against foods which cause staining such as curries, tomato based foods like pasta and other pigmented foodstuffs known to cause organic stains to tooth surfaces.
